Early Career & Background

In 2019, Elora Pal entered the world of independent filmmaking by joining forces with Rony Babu, beginning a close creative collaboration rooted in shared vision and persistence. Working shoulder to shoulder, she immersed herself in the process of storytelling, learning the craft through hands-on experience and continuous creation.

Her first major project came in 2020 with the horror short film Box: A Mysterious Box —a bold entry into genre filmmaking that explored fear, isolation, and mystery. The film was released on a newly created YouTube channel, marking her official debut as a filmmaker. Although the channel is no longer active, the film continues to exist on IMDb, standing as a lasting record of her early work.

Following this debut, Elora Pal expanded her creative journey by producing short films and music videos for a variety of clients. Each project sharpened her skills and strengthened her cinematic voice, allowing her to grow across formats and genres.

In early 2025, driven by the vision of building a dedicated space for independent storytelling, Elora Pal became part of the foundation of Filmopixel Productions —a film production company born from collaboration, ambition, and a commitment to original cinema.

Independent Filmmaking & Debut

Her 2021 short film Bakso, A Mysterious Box marked Pal’s first directorial project and showcased her interest in intimate, character-driven narratives. The film, where she also appeared as an actor, received attention in independent circles for its layered storytelling and experimental tone, highlighting Pal’s potential as both a director and performer.

Filmopixel & Creative Work

Alongside collaborator Rony Babu, Pal co-founded Filmopixel, a creative production house based in Ranaghat, West Bengal. The company focuses on independent and regional cinema, providing a platform for emerging filmmakers and creative storytellers. Through Filmopixel, she continues to develop short films and visual content with an emphasis on socially conscious themes.

As a creative collaborator, she works closely with artists, actors, and technicians, encouraging a supportive and disciplined creative environment. Her presence strengthens Filmopixel’s vision of inclusive, artist-first production, where ideas are respected and creativity is nurtured.

Artistic Vision
